Organized to provide dental service for the poor, free or at a nominal cost, and to educate the poor to take better care of their teeth. Maintains free clinics at 555 Market Street., and Newark Street Playground, 74 Newton Street. Hours: Market Street Clinic - Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 PM. Newton Street Clinic - Wednesdays and Fridays at 4 PM. The service of the dentists is provided gratuitously by the New Jersey Dental Association. The City of Newark appropriated $5000 for the clinic in 1911.
